Choreographer
Ainsley Dawe is on the verge of graduating with Bachelor’s degrees in Dance Studies and Psychology from Appalachian State University. She could not think of a better way to start the next chapter of her life than by spending it with Austin, Brooke, and their potential students, working on the craft they all love so deeply. Ainsley is no stranger to the stage. She has been in countless musicals, plays, and dance concerts. Some of her favorite roles include Morticia Addams in The Addams Family Musical and Georgia Hendricks in Curtains. This past year, she had the honor of being selected as a student choreographer for the departmental dance concert- FADE (Fall Appalachian Dance Ensemble), where she was also chosen as a soloist. As a choreographer, Ainsley has created choreography for upwards of ten musicals. Some of her highlights include Once Upon A Mattress, Curtains, and Matilda Jr. After spending most of her life in the competitive dance world and performing throughout her college career, she understands how harsh the performing arts world can be. Ainsley would like to use Untitled to help students navigate the emotional and mental difficulties they may experience. She aims to use this time with students to help them explore themselves as people, as well as performers, so they may go forward in life with increased confidence and the skills to face what life may present them with while still pursuing their passion.
