EDUCATION DIRECTOR
Brooke Russo is ecstatic for another Untitled: TMI Summer! She graduated with her B.A. in Theatre Education from UNC Charlotte in December 2023 and started teaching in August 2024 as the theatre teacher at Northwest Cabarrus High School. Brooke is passionate about teaching students of all ages and abilities, especially through theatre. Some of her favorite moments in the classroom are when students who were terrified of even standing on stage in front of people are able to deliver a whole monologue on their own. It’s such a momentous and proud moment that Brooke loves getting to witness. Brooke also recently obtained her RBT Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician utilizing ABA therapy to teach children with autism at Mosaic Pediatric Therapy before teaching. In the classroom, Brooke is able to create a fun, welcoming, and safe environment for performers of all abilities to shine, something that is essential to the Untitled experience. She has directed and assistant directed several plays in musicals in her career including Little Women, These Shining Lives, and The Addams Family Musical. She fully believes that all students deserve to be met where they are and that there is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to teaching young people. Brooke aims to create a safe space for students of all backgrounds and abilities to find success in the performance process at Untitled.
